10.3 What is the Satoshi Silver Core Series 2027?

💡 Answer

The Satoshi Silver Core Series 2027 is Satoshi Silver's central coin-medal collection. It consists of high-quality collectibles made from struck fine silver 999/1000, finished with selective precious metal and color treatments and, depending on the edition, further special features.

The Core Series 2027 is the consistent further development of the Core Series 2025 and 2026. Based on the experience from the first two vintages and feedback from collectors, enthusiasts, customers, and trading partners, the concept for 2027 was streamlined and specifically refined.

Instead of eight variants, the Core Series 2027 now comprises four clearly distinct editions: Genesis, Signature, Heritage, and Prestige. Like the previous vintages, they are characterized by their distinctive design, high-quality proof-like minting, and delicate high-end precious metal finishes.

The four editions differ in particular in their finishes, mintage limits, and special features — from the unlimited Genesis Edition to the Prestige Edition, limited to 500 pieces worldwide, with black rhodium and hand-set rubies.

All editions are offered in high-quality protective and presentation systems tailored to the character of the respective issue. The Core Series thus appeals both to collectors and enthusiasts and to people looking for an extraordinary, high-quality gift.

Explanation

The Core Series — the heart of Satoshi Silver

Satoshi Silver's history began with the Core Series. It remains the brand's central product line to this day.

The first generation appeared as the Core Series 2025, followed by the Core Series 2026. For 2027, the existing concept was not simply continued but specifically revised based on the experience gained from the first two vintages.

In particular, feedback from collectors, Bitcoin enthusiasts, customers, and trading partners fed into this further development.

The result is a more focused Core Series with fewer editions, but with stronger differentiation in design, finishing, mintage limit, and features.

From eight variants to four editions

The Core Series 2025 and 2026 each comprised eight different variants. For the Core Series 2027, we deliberately decided to reduce this to four editions.

Fewer variants do not mean less variety. Rather, the goal was to give each edition a clearer identity and positioning while placing even greater emphasis on design, material combinations, and special details.

The four editions are based on a shared core concept but differ in finishing, mintage limit, exclusivity, and features.

Genesis Edition

The Genesis Edition is the entry point into the Core Series. It combines ruthenium with deliberately placed color elements and is intentionally not limited.

It is therefore aimed at collectors and enthusiasts who value design, material, and high-quality finishing but do not place particular importance on a limited mintage.

Even as the entry-level edition, the Genesis does not forgo the essential characteristics of the Core Series: fine silver, proof-like minting, distinctive design, and elaborate selective surface finishing are all part of the concept here too.

Signature Edition

The Signature Edition combines yellow gold with color and is limited worldwide to 2,000 pieces.

Special attention is given to precise, delicate selective gold plating. Gold is deliberately used as a design element, while the design intentionally leaves room for the original silver surface to take effect as well.

In combination with matte and polished areas, the high-quality relief, with its fine details that often only become visible on closer inspection, stands out especially clearly.

Heritage Edition

In the Heritage Edition, alongside the colored emblem, yellow gold and black platinum meet. The mintage is limited worldwide to 1,000 pieces.

A special feature is the selective galvanic finishing with black platinum. The precious metal is deposited at our facility in Pforzheim through an electrochemical process, applied specifically to the areas designated in the design.

Black platinum is relatively rarely used in coins and medals and creates a striking dark contrast against yellow gold, color, and visible silver surfaces.

Prestige Edition

The Prestige Edition is the most exclusive tier of the Core Series 2027. It combines black rhodium, yellow gold, and color with genuine rubies.

The gemstones are individually hand-set by a specialist. This adds a further handcrafted element to this edition, alongside minting and surface finishing.

The Prestige Edition is limited worldwide to 500 pieces, with each piece individually numbered.

The presentation also differs from the other editions: the coin medal is presented in an acrylic block, which is in turn housed in a high-quality presentation box. The acrylic block allows for a particularly clear, object-like presentation of the Prestige Edition and underscores its exclusive character.

Presentation and storage

The presentation of the coin medals is also part of the Core Series concept.

Genesis, Signature, and Heritage are each available in two different presentation and storage systems: the high-quality Collector Case or the compact and functional ApoPAXX® with stand.

This allows a choice, depending on personal preference, between a classic presentation solution and the especially compact ApoPAXX®.

The Prestige Edition, on the other hand, has its own presentation concept featuring an acrylic block and a high-quality presentation box.

Greater focus on design and contrasts

A key focus in developing the Core Series 2027 was design refinement.

The interplay of different surfaces and materials was especially important here. Dark precious metal finishes such as ruthenium, black platinum, or black rhodium create strong contrasts against warm yellow gold, visible silver surfaces, and deliberately placed color elements.

This makes motifs, relief structures, and individual details stand out more clearly.

The different precious metal finishes are therefore not merely features. They are an integral part of the design and give each edition its own character.

A concept for different collectors

With the Genesis Edition, we deliberately chose to also offer an unlimited variant within the Core Series.

Not every interested collector is looking for a heavily limited and correspondingly higher-priced collector edition. At the same time, entering the Core Series should not mean having to forgo fine silver, the distinctive design, or high-quality selective finishing.

The Genesis Edition therefore forms the accessible entry point into the series. Signature, Heritage, and Prestige complement the concept with increasing mintage limits and more elaborate finishes.

This creates a range of different editions within a shared product family — from the accessible entry point to the especially elaborately equipped Prestige Edition.

What connects the four editions?

Despite their differences, all four editions are recognizably part of a shared product family.

Each is based on a coin medal made of 21 g of fine silver 999/1000 with a diameter of 37 mm and high-quality proof-like minting.

The number 21 is deliberately chosen. 21 grams corresponds to 21,000,000 micrograms. The inscription "21,000,000 µg" found on the strike thus denotes, on one hand, the actual fine weight of 21 grams, while also alluding to the maximum supply of 21 million Bitcoin.

Further recurring design elements, details, and Easter eggs link the individual editions and vintages together and are part of the Core Series' characteristic design.

The CCM hallmark

Every piece of the Core Series 2027 also bears the CCM hallmark (Common Control Mark).

This is a marking physically applied to the coin medal by an authorized inspection body. The principle is comparable to hallmarks, as known for example from high-quality jewelry and precious metal products.

The CCM is thus another recurring feature of Satoshi Silver coin medals.

The early launch of the Core Series 2027

The Core Series 2026 was already sold out by mid-2026. We therefore decided to officially introduce and launch the next generation as early as September 2026.

The Blocktrainer event in Cologne, with its audience of Bitcoin enthusiasts and interested parties, provided a fitting setting for this.

The year number therefore denotes the respective generation of the Core Series and not necessarily the time of its initial sale.

What makes the Core Series 2027 special

The Core Series 2027 represents the consistent further development of the original Satoshi Silver concept.

From the experience of the first two generations emerged a more compact product family with four clearly positioned editions. At the same time, greater focus was placed on design, contrasts, selective precious metal finishes, different mintage-limit tiers, and special details.

From the unlimited Genesis Edition through Signature and Heritage to the Prestige Edition, limited worldwide to 500 pieces with hand-set rubies, the series offers different tiers of exclusivity — connected by a shared design concept and the combination of fine silver, precious metals, craftsmanship, and Bitcoin symbolism characteristic of Satoshi Silver.
